Norwich City have announced they will travel to the United States for three pre-season friendlies in July.
Chris Hughton’s side will leave England on July 15 and begin the tour with a fixture against a yet to be determined opponent in Sacramento three days later.
Norwich will then play two MLS sides, with fixtures against the San Jose Earthquakes on July 20 and the Portland Timbers on July 24 also confirmed.
“We’re delighted to have made arrangements for a summer tour to America where we will play two games against MLS sides and another side to be confirmed,” Hughton told the club’s official website.
“The games will provide an important part of our pre-season build-up for the 2013-14 domestic campaign and of course it’s a great opportunity for the club to engage with football fans in the United States.”
Norwich – who sit six points clear of the Premier League relegation zone with three games to play – are still not safe, but a win against fellow strugglers Aston Villa on Saturday is likely to secure their survival.
