Norwich have completed the signing of Steven Naismith from Everton on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
Naismith becomes Norwich’s fifth arrival of the January transfer window following the capture of Matt Jarvis, Ivo Pinto, Timm Klose and Ben Godfrey.
The 41-cap Scotland international made over 100 Premier League appearances for Everton but has departed after managing just four top-flight starts this term.
The 29-year-old will now try to earn regular first-team football following the completion of his move to Carrow Road for a reported fee of £8.5million.
“I’m very happy to have signed because now I can concentrate on the football side of things,” he told Norwich’s official website.
“Norwich have displayed class in the way they’ve done their business all the way through. They’ve shown how much they wanted me, which is great, and I’m delighted to be here.”
Norwich manager Alex Neil, Naismith’s fellow Scotsman, added: “We are delighted to conclude this deal and bring Steven to the club.
“He’s a proven performer at Premier League level and an established international with Scotland so arrives with excellent pedigree.”
