N’Zonzi set for Premier League return?

Steven N’Zonzi spent three seasons at Premier League side Stoke before making the switch to current side Sevilla, and he was a hugely impressive player during his relatively short spell. A return to the English top flight could be on the cards however, as both Arsenal and Everton are keen in acquiring the Frenchman’s services, according to the Guardian.

The defensively minded midfielder made 120 appearances for the Potters in all competitions, and played a crucial role in Stoke’s continued success in the league. His impressive exploits earned him a move to Sevilla, where he won the Europa League in his first season with the club.

There is little doubt that N’Zonzi is a talented player, and he would make a great addition to either Arsenal or Everton. The Gunners will be losing Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in the near future, and may need to reply more heavily on their defence to grind out wins.

Everton meanwhile have turned their season around under new manager Sam Allardyce, and as someone who values defensive solidify, his interest in the midfielder is certainly understandable.
