Odion Ighalo could be set for Premier League return

Remember Odion Ighalo? The former Watford striker made the switch to Chinese club Changchun Yatai for £20m last January, but now he could be set for a return to the Premier League as a whole host of clubs are interested.

Reports out of Italy suggest that Everton, Stoke, West Ham and Southampton are all vying for the striker, who has experience of banging in the goals in England’s top flight.

The Nigerian forward bagged 15 goals in his first season in the Premier League, but failed to reproduce that in the following campaign. His big money move to China perhaps came as a result of this, as he had just one goal in 18 games, but that hasn’t put off his suitors.

In truth all four of the aforementioned clubs who have been linked with Ighalo could use a prolific striker, with none of them sitting any higher than 14th in the table.
