Denmark coach Morten Olsen has said that he is happy with the lack of media attention on his squad ahead of their Euro 2012 opener.
Olsen, who has been at the helm of the national team since 2000, stated that he remains calm over the Danes’ objectives, a stark contrast to that of other countries in Group B, ahead of their date with the Netherlands on Saturday.
“If the Netherlands is not a European champion, that would be a disappointment for them,” the 62-year-old told ANP.
“I would not say (that) about us. If we survive this difficult group, that would be for us a wonderful achievement.
“Our other opponents Portugal and Germany also have to win; we want to win.
“We are outsiders in Group B. Only when we have the better form of the day and also a bit more luck, we can win (against) these three countries.”
Denmark will do battle with the Dutch at Metalist Stadium, Kharkiv.
