Olympiakos have officially announced that Leonardo Jardim has been installed as the club’s new coach.

The Greek champions had been on the lookout for a new boss after Ernesto Valverde stepped down at the end of the season due to family reasons.

Olympiakos turned to Jardim when negotiations with former Sporting Lisbon boss Domingos Paciencia broke down.

Jardim guided Sporting Braga to a third-placed finish in the Portuguese Liga in 2011/12, but had his contract terminated by mutual consent last week.
