Olympiakos make a bid for Espanyol’s Moises

Olympiakos have offered Espanyol 2.2 million euros for defensive midfielder Moises Hurtado Perez.

The bid was rejected by the La Liga outfit as they want around 3.5 million euros to part from their prized asset but the two sides are close to striking a deal that will see Moises move to Karaiskaki.

New Olympiakos coach Ernesto Valverde singled out Espanyol midfielder as the man who could ease out team’s defensive worries and Valverde clearly knows what he is talking about having trained Moises during his time at Montjuic.

The pair developed a great understanding at the time when Valverde coached los Periquitos and it looks as though they will again be given the opportunity to work together.

Moises is a very versatile player, who can also play in the heart of defence and after spending last eight years at Espanyol, he could be looking for a new challenge.
