Onouha: Keep the faith with QPR owners
QPR defender Nedum Onuoha has backed the club’s owners to guide them back to the Premier League next season.
The London club were relegated from the Premier League after a disastrous campaign which saw them finish bottom of the table, having picked up just four wins.
The club’s owners were also criticised for their transfer dealings which saw many players brought in on reportedly large wages but Onuoha has urged fans to put their trust in the Loftus Road hierarchy.
“It (promotion) will be a big challenge but you have to have trust in the people that make the big decisions,” he told QPR’s official website.
“I think the people at the top don’t get there by accident so they will learn from anything they haven’t done well, as will the players and manager, and I am confident that when we do come back up we will be a completely different club.
“With the owners that we have they aren’t going to settle for being in the Championship for the next 10 years as they want more than that.
“When you have people that are driven like that with their resources I think the future will always be a bright one.”
Onouha made 26 appearances for the club last season and confirmed he is looking to play a major role in getting QPR back into the top-flight.
“As soon as pre-season starts I will train as hard as everybody else to get into the side because this is where I am and will be until I am told to get lost,” he continued.
