Orlando City have completed the signing of New York Red Bulls captain Sascha Kljestan, according to ESPN.

The highly rated footballer was traded in exchange for Carlos Rivas, Tommy Reading and €125,000.

Kljestan arrives as a replacement for Brazilian forward Kaka, who has retired from football, and his leadership abilities should help Orlando City make the next step.

The 32-year-old had begun his career at Chivas USA, and he also enjoyed a very successful spell with Anderlecht before returning to the United States.

During his three-year stint with New York Red Bulls, Kljestan managed 17 goals in 106 MLS appearances.
