It is reported that Michael Owen could be the next player to leave Newcastle as he seems certain to reject a new contract that would mean him taking a £1 million-a-year pay cut.

With twenty-nine year old Owen being available for free at the end of this season it is believed that Newcastle could be prepared to let him go for as little as £2 million.

The news could interest Manchester United or Tottenham depending on the outcome of the Dimitar Berbatov saga.
