Spanish daily newspaper Marca is reporting that both Mesut Ozil and Angel Di Maria have expressed a desire to return to Real Madrid.
The highly rated footballers have played the best football of their respective careers at Santiago Bernabeu, and they appear to have lived to regret leaving los Blancos.
Mesut Ozil has been unable to challenge for major honours with Arsenal and with his current contract due to expire in June 2018, the German appears to be considering his options.
Marca claims that the highly rated footballer would jump at the opportunity to return to Real Madrid, meaning the ball is now in Florentino Perez’s court.
Angel Di Maria has experienced even more problems since leaving los Blancos, although he has kick-started his career after a disappointing spell at Manchester United.
The Argentine, nonetheless, is not too keen on extending his stay at Parc des Princes, and he hopes he will be offered an opportunity to return to Madrid.
