Ozil wants Real Madrid exit

German midfielder Mesut Ozil could be set for a shock exit from Santiago Bernabeu, Catalan daily Sport has revealed.

Despite playing an integral role in Real Madrid’s push for the La Liga title last term, the 23-year-old is no longer considered a first team regular at the Bernabeu.

It appears that Ozil has fallen behind both Luka Modric and Kaka in the pecking order and he could request a transfer in the January transfer window.

Jose Mourinho is not too keen on keeping the attacking midfielder in the squad, even if he believes the Germany international has more than enough quality to play an influential role at Real Madrid.

The Portuguese coach is far from happy with the player’s behaviour and believes Ozil has a disruptive influence on the dressing room.

Latest reports suggest that Mourinho and Ozil are not even talking to each other at the moment, which could see the highly rated midfielder leave the club in the January transfer window.
