Palace and Everton set for Ruddy tussle

Crystal Palace are set to make a move for Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy when the transfer window reopens next month, according to the Mirror.

The one-time England international remained at Carrow Road following the Canaries relegation to the Championship back in May, and has been ever present in the league under Neil Adams so far this season.

Palace are interested in bringing in the 28 year old as competition for current first choice shot stopper Julian Speroni though Everton, the club Ruddy was on the books for for five years prior to his move to Norfolk, are also interested in securing his services.

During his spell with the Toffees, he made just one league appearance spending most of his time out on loan in spells with no less than nine different clubs.

He has two-and-a-half years remaining on his current deal, so would command a fee of around £4m.
