Palace reluctant to sell Zaha

The Metro understands that Crystal Palace manager Sam Allardyce has slapped a £40m price tag on winger Wilfried Zaha.

The twenty-four old has been one of the stand-out performers since Allardyce arrived at Selhurst Park, starring in victories against the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Zaha made a high profile move to Manchester United in the summer of 2013 but failed to make an impact with the Red Devils, making just four appearances before securing a return to south London in the summer of 2014.

This season, he has played in all but three of the Eagles’ league games so far this season, scoring six – his best return for a top flight campaign and his form has attracted interest from title challengers Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

He has also become a fully fledged international footballer at senior level this year, notching up seven caps for the Ivory Coast.
