Crystal Palace want to drop Ashley-Paul Robinson after remarks made by the player on his personal Facebook page.
Robinson has been offered a trial by Fulham and commented on Facebook using slang: “Ashley Paul is going fulham on monday. If i pull dis off im on dis ting.”
As could be expected, Palace did not appreciate the way in which the player revealed that he wanted to make a move.
A second post, in which Robinson claims to have been “very naughty” did not help the situation either.
An unknown Crystal Palaca source told newspaper the Guardian that it is “very embarrassing to the club if a kid tells the world that he plans to leave”.
“Maybe someone should have told him to think twice before publishing something.”
Manager Neil Warnock added: “We think it’s better for him to look for another place to continue his career.”
