Palermo sign Donati from Bari

Palermo have announced the signing of midfielder Massimo Donati from Serie B outfit Bari for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old has agreed a contract until June 2014 with Bortolo Mutti’s side.

Donati has also featured for the likes of Atalanta and Celtic in a much-travelled career, which also saw him loaned out to clubs including Torino, Sampdoria, Parma and Messina.

He is now in line to make his debut for Palermo on Sunday against Genoa.

Donati is Palermo’s fifth signing of the January transfer window, following the arrivals of Franco Vazquez, Agon Mehmeti, Emiliano Viviano and Carlos Labrin at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.
