(GSM) – Panathinaikos were held to their second draw of the season on Saturday, dropping two points in a 2-2 draw at Kavala.

Four days after a painful 5-1 trashing by Barcelona in the Champions League, Panathinaikos hoped to get things back on track at Kavala.

Initially, things worked out as planned for the Athens side as striker Djibril Cisse opened the scoring in the 12th minute.

But Brazilian Douglao leveled on the half hour mark and Frenchman Jean Darcheville made it 2-1 three minutes later.

Panathinaikos did have the final say at Kavala’s Anthi Karagianni stadium, as Cisse netted his second of the night in the 79th minute for a 2-2 result.
