Panathinaikos sign Poland international Wawrzyniak

Panathinaikos have signed Polish international defender Jakub Wawrzyniak from Legia Warsaw, the Greek club announced on Friday.

The Athens-based club did not reveal the financial details of the deal, but press reports say the transfer was worth 1.5 million euros.

Wawrzyniak, 26, who has 14 caps for Poland, has also played for Polish clubs Widzew Lodz (2005-2007), Swit Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki (2004) and Blekitni Stargard Szczecinski (2003).
