Panathinaikos are through to the group stage of the UEFA Champions League following a 3-1 aggregate win over AC Sparta Prague.

Two weeks ago, the Greeks had already won the away leg in the Czech Republic 2-1 with goals from Kucera (own goal) and Simao.

In the return leg, Panathinaikos never had their lead threatened. Sparta needed to score twice but lacked the strength to do so.

In fact, the home side took a second win themselves with Souza scoring for 1-0 in the 90th minute.
