Hull City are set to miss out on the signing of Christian Panucci, according to the agent of the veteran Italian defender. Panucci, 35, has been linked with a move to the Premier League and the Tigers in particular after falling out with AS Roma coach Luciano Spalletti.

“I really think Christian will remain at Roma and respect his contract,” Oscar Damiani told Italian media. “We have been unable to resolve the situation, which isn’t entirely surprising as we had very few days at our disposal. We have not reached any agreement. The proposals we received were not considered valid for the player.”
