Pardew eyes strike duo

Newcastle United are considering summer moves for strike duo Ayoze Perez and Joel Campbell, according to the Daily Star.

Manager Alan Pardew has said that signing two strikers will be his priority when the transfer window reopens, and he has identified Tenerife’s Perez and Campbell, who is currently on loan at Olympiakos from Arsenal, as his top targets.

The Gunners themselves are among the front runners to sign the Magpies top scorer Loic Remy, who has netted over a third of their total goals in the Premier League so far this season.

The 27 year old, who is on a season-long loan at St James Park from Queens Park Rangers, has been ruled out of the North East side’s trip to Stoke City tomorrow afternoon with a calf injury.

Having lost their last three games without scoring, you may be tempted to back Stoke to keep a clean sheet at 6/4.
