Paris Saint-Germain’s Javier Pastore hopes his side can win the Ligue 1 crown this Sunday to secure his first ever league title triumph.

Carlo Ancelotti’s outfit are nine points clear at the top of the table and, provided that second-placed Marseille slip up at home to Bastia and PSG beat Valenciennes, the capital club could claim its first domestic league title since 1994.

Pastore, 23, who is playing in his second season for PSG, is looking forward to what would be his first title as a professional.

“We are delighted to have the chance to win it all on Sunday, especially me because it would be my first league title,” Pastore told Le Parisien.

“We had a good season in France and in the Champions League where we lost just once. At the beginning it was not easy but then it all went in the right direction.”

Pastore also commented on the rumours Ancelotti is set to leave the Parc des Princes at the end of the season.

“The future of Ancelotti? At the moment we have to focus on winning the league, everything else comes later,” he added.

“I have a great relationship with him, if he were to leave I would be sad.”

Pastore has made 44 appearances in all competitions this term, scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists.
