Footballing legend Pele criticised Sepp Blatters comments that some of the top players in the world were treated no better than slaves by their clubs.
The FIFA President made the comments earlier in the week when referring to Cristiano Ronaldos impasse with Manchester United.
In his reaction to Blatters statement Pele said that for a footballer to be a slave he would have to play without a contract as well without a salary. He added that if a player has a contract, like in any other job, he should have to see out that contract and when that player had completed his contract he should be allowed to go to which ever club he wished.
Pele was speaking in Stoke where he is currently preparing for a charity match for the Gordon Banks Foundation.
