Portuguese newspaper A Bola is reporting that Sporting Lisbon winger Bruno Pereirinha is set to join Lazio.

The player is currently on his way to Stadio Olimpico, where he will sign a three-and-a-half-year contract subject to passing a medical.

Pereirinha, 24, arrives as a free agent, having just terminated his contract at Stadio Jose Alvalade.

The highly rated winger had six months left on his deal with the Lions, but club officials agreed to release him from his contract.

Due to the contract dispute with the Portuguese giants, Pereirinha has failed to make a single first team appearance for the club this season, but Lazio boss Vladimir Petkovic was, nonetheless, prepared to take a gamble with the talented midfielder.

Pereirinha, who spent most of his career at Sporting Lisbon, produced some scintillating showings during team’s Europa League campaign last term, and that proved enough to persuade the Biancocelesti to add him to their ranks.

Fiorentina confirm talks for Sissoko

Fiorentina have announced on their official website that they are negotiating a loan deal for PSG midfielder Mohamed Sissoko.

Viola officials have been very active during the January transfer window, signing Giuseppe Rossi, Marcelo Larrondo, Matias Vecino, Marvin Compper and Rafal Wolski, but the winter recruitment looks set to continue.

The Serie A giants have revealed they are on the verge of signing Mohamed Sissoko on a loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain.

“Talks between Fiorentina and PSG for the acquisition of midfielder Mohamed Sissoko on loan with an option to buy initiated,” the statement read. “Tomorrow the parties will meet to reach an agreement.”

Sissoko, 28, is currently with his national team at Africa Cup of Nations and will not be joining his new teammates until Mali are eliminated from the tournament.

The former Juventus midfielder has found it hard to command a regular starting berth at Parc des Princes, but fierce competition for places also awaits him at Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Marseille agree to sign Razvan Rat

Shakhtar Donetsk full-back Razvan Rat is set to sign for Marseille, according to L’Equipe.

Following the arrivals of Foued Kadir, Brice Samba and Modou Sougou, the French giants are set to announce the fourth and probably the final signing of the transfer window.

L’Equipe understands that Shakhtar Donetsk defender Razvan Rat has already agreed to join OM.

Rat, 31, has five months left on his deal at Shakhtar, but will be joining Marseille for a nominal fee in the January transfer window.

The Romania captain has been signed to provide competition for Jeremy Morel on the left flank.

Razvan Rat made a move to Shakhtar in 2003 and has since made 179 league appearances for the club, scoring 6 goals in the process.

The experienced defender currently has 86 Romania caps to his name and has represented the national team at the Euro 2008.
