A group of Feyenoord fans are behind an online petition aimed at keeping Manchester City loanee John Guidetti for an additional season.

Sweden Under-21 international Guidetti joined Eredivisie club Feyenoord on a one-year loan deal at the start of the 2011/12 campaign.

He has proved to be a key player for the Rotterdam outfit, scoring 14 goals in 14 league appearances, and setting up five more.

However, the attacker regularly speaks with Manchester City representatives and is widely expected to return to England at the end of the season.

Undeterred, the Feyenoord faithful have not given up hope of holding on to the popular striker for another year, with well over 24,000 fans signing the online petition calling for him to stay.

Guidetti has a contract with Manchester City until the end of the 2013/14 season.
