Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has been involved in a car crash a day out from his side’s Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen.
Spanish daily Marca has reported that centre-back Pique was on his way to Camp Nou on Monday, where Pep Guardiola’s squad gathered ahead of their trip to Germany, when his car was hit by another vehicle.
Although the door at the driver’s side of Pique’s car was badly damaged, the former Manchester United starlet walked away from the crash without any serious injuries.
The Spain international parked his car at the side of the road, before taking a taxi to the Barcelona ground to join his team-mates.
