Pique would like to avoid Liverpool in the next stage

Barcelona’s rising young star defender, Gerard Pique has admitted that he is hoping his team will avoid locking horns with Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

“Liverpool’s playing style, as we saw against Madrid, does not suit us at all,” he said in an interview with RAC-1 programme, ‘Tu Diras’.

“At the Santiago Bernabeu, the closed the game down completely and did not allow their opponents to play. A rival who would suit us better would be a team like Arsenal because they like to play and attack just like us,” he added.
