Primera Liga strugglers UD Levante have threatened strike action if the club refuse to settle the debts that they owe to the squad.
Defender and spokesman for the players Luis Rubiales revealed to the press earlier today that if the matter had not been resolved by the scheduled kick off in the weekends match against Recreativo Huelvo they would have no alternative but to go on strike.
The club had negotiated to have their stadium sold off to raise the money to settle the clubs debts. That had run into logistical problems. A loan was then negotiated with a bank, but that too had hit certain snags.
