Police interfered to decide on Burnley vs Leeds penalty shootout (Video)

Leeds secured a Carabao Cup victory at Burnley as Championship side prove Premier League quality on Tuesday night.

Last night’s League Cup clash ended in 2-2 after 120 minutes and as the game headed into the penalty shootout finish the police intervened to decide which end of the ground will the spot kick be taken from.

Usual coin toss was ditched for the occasion as Burnley police stepped in to advise the referee to take the penalties over at the Burnley end. Needless to say, the fans weren’t that pleased with police involvement and took it to social media to express their discontent.
