Polonia Warsaw had the chance to go second in the Ekstraklasa when they travelled to Piast Gliwice on Monday.
Piotr Stokowiec’s side hadn’t won in their past two league outings heading into the game at the Stadion Piast and looked set to change that early on.
Vladimer Dvalishvili gave the visitors the lead just after half time with his fourth goal in seven league matches.
His team looked set to retain their advantage and claim their fifth away win of the season but Gliwice had other ideas.
Ruben Jurado broke Warsaw hearts with an equaliser two minutes from time.
Things got even worse for the visitors when defender Adam Kokoszka was shown a straight red card in time added on.
It sees Polonia stay third in the table, eight points adrift of city rivals and league leaders Legia Warsaw. Gliwice stay ninth.
