Portuguese daily newspaper Record has learned that the country’s top clubs are lining up for Leixoes defender Diogo Guedes Nunes.

The 19-year-old has shown a great deal of potential in his first full season and his impressive displays did not go unnoticed.

The latest reports suggest that FC Porto, Benfica and Sporting CP are all closely monitoring his performances at the moment.

Despite playing in the second division Nunes has clearly done enough to catch the eye of Portugal’s top clubs and there is a good chance he will be joining one of those at the end of the current campaign.

The talented centre back has made a total of 29 league appearances for Leixoes this season, scoring one goal in the process.

His suitors are involved in a three-way battle for the Primeira Liga trophy, with Benfica currently 4/7
favourites to lift the coveted title
