Looking to briefly secure a three-point advantage over Spain in Group B, Euro 2016 Champions Portugal will face off against Morocco in Wednesday’s matchup.

For Fernando Santos’s side, after shocking world football and being crowned European champions in France two years ago, it appears that Portugal are once again looking to cause another seismic upset. Coming off the back of a 3-3 draw with 2010 World Cup champions Spain, the Reds will be confident of stealing top spot in Group B. Looking to make a statement before managerless Spain kick off against Iran later in that evening, Portugal will be looking to talisman and captain Cristiano Ronaldo to carry on from his immaculate form. After putting in a man of the match performance against La Furia Roja, Ronaldo also scored all three for Portugal and now has 81 for his country.

As for Morocco, despite starting as an overwhelming favorite to take three points off of Iran, former Cambridge boss Hervé Renard saw his side slump to a disappointing 1-0 loss and now sit bottom of Group B. While it was their first loss since June 2017 and Renard will say that they controlled the majority of their opening matchup, we expect it will be a very difficult afternoon against a Portugal side who have now scored six in their last two.
