Monaco continued their preparations for the Ligue 2 season with a 2-0 win over Turkish side Sivasspor in a friendly on Thursday.
Emir Bajrami and Valentin Eysseric were on the scoresheet as Claudio Ranieri’s men brushed past the Turkish Super Lig outfit in Munich.
The win was the perfect response from Monaco after suffering a 1-0 loss to English Premier League side Newcastle United on Monday.
Monaco opened the scoring midway through the first half when Bajrami struck with a stunning free-kick.
Ibrahima Toure was fouled after intercepting a sloppy pass in defence and Bajrami stepped up to curl a 25-yard free-kick in off the post.
Ranieri’s side doubled their advantage and put the game to bed on the hour-mark thanks to Eysseric.
After being put behind the defence, Valere Germain put a pass into the path of Eysseric, who side-footed home the finish.
