Premier League rivals vying for Felipe Caicedo

Felipe Caicedo has caught the attention of the two Premier League clubs Everton and Newcastle who are vying for his signature in January, according to Spanish media outlet Marca.

Ecuador forward has been in fine form this term, taking a huge step forward in his second season with Espanyol.

The 27-year-old has so far scored five goals in La Liga, adding two more in the Copa del Rey and is currently the club’s top scorer.

Much-travelled powerful striker who has played for no less than seven clubs since 2006 before moving to Espanyol in 2014.

Earlier this season he signed the new contract with the Spanish outlet that will see him remain in La Liga until 2019.

Espanyol striker has already plied his trade in the Premier League with Manchester City from 2008 to 2011 and has now caught the eye of Everton and Newcastle, who are thought to be interested in offering the Ecuador international a chance to get back in the Premiership during January transfer window.
