Former Belgium goalkeeper Michel Preud’homme will spend next season as head coach of AA Gent. The manager left Standard Liege earlier today.

It only took Preud’homme a few hours after Standard’s announcement, to reveal that he signed a three-year deal with cup winners Gent.

Preud’homme secured the Jupiler League title with Standard this season, but was offered a new contract for only one year. The coach disagreed and now continues his career elsewhere.

At Gent, the manager succeeds Trond Sollied who will be moving to SC Heerenveen this summer.
