PSG chairman rules out Marco Verratti sale

Italian midfielder Marco Verratti has been widely linked with a summer move away from Paris Saint Germain.

Diminutive playmaker is thought to be disillusioned with life in Paris after a rather frustrating season with Les Bleus, which saw Unai Emery’s men lose out on domestic title and go through yet another disappointment at the international stage.

Spanish radio station Cadena Ser reports that the 24-year-old PSG star has approached Nasser Al-Khelaifi and asked to be allowed to leave this summer, but the PSG chairman reportedly refused such demands.

The Catalan giants Barcelona have reportedly made Marco Verratti their top transfer target this summer and the player’s agent Donato Di Campli is thought to be seeking ways to make the deal happen despite the negative answer coming directly from the Paris Saint-Germain chairman who seems to be adamant with his decision.

Marco Verratti made the total of 44 appearances for PSG last season, scoring three goals and providing seven assists during that time.
