PSG enquire about Barca’s Adriano

Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo has suggested that Paris Saint-Germain have launched an assault on Barcelona defender Adriano Correia.

Having not really impressed in the first part of the season, the Saints aim to reinforce the squad in the January transfer window and the Brazilian defender is one of the players on their wish list.

With Siaka Tiene widely tipped to leave the club in the winter, boss Carlo Ancelotti hope to sign another left-back who would provide competition for Brazilian Maxwell.

It is for that reason that PSG officials have already contacted the player’s representative Paulo Affonso.

While Adriano has welcomed the interest from the French capital, he has informed the Saints that he would prefer to remain at Camp Nou.

The versatile defender not only came under the spotlight for his defensive qualities, but also for his goalscoring abilities, with the Brazilian having scored 5 goals in 11 La Liga appearances this season.
