PSG eyeing Robben, Mata; Fiorentina keen on Eremenko

hot-transfer-newsPSG eyeing Robben, Mata

French newspaper L’Equipe has learned that Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a real shopping spree in the January transfer window.

The Saints were not too active this summer, adding only Edinson Cavani, Marquinhos and Lucas Digne, but it appears they are readying a heavy winter recruitment.

According to L’Equipe, the French giants are pondering moves for Arjen Robben, Juan Manuel Mata, Julian Draxler and Marco Reus.

And while both Juan Mata and Julian Draxler are being linked with moves away from their respective clubs, it would take a huge effort from the Saints to sign Arjen Robben and Marco Reus.

Chances are that PSG will be adding at least one more high-profile player to their ranks in January and it remains to be seen who will be the man to arrive at Parc des Princes.

Despite sitting tied on points with Monaco at the top of Ligue 1 standings, the Saints are 4/25 favourites for the league title.

Fiorentina keen on Eremenko

Rubin Kazan playmaker Roman Eremenko has been linked with a January switch to Fiorentina, according to Russian newspaper Izvestia.

Viola are looking to sign a long-term replacement for veteran midfielder David Pizarro and they have reportedly made the Finnish footballer their primary target.

Fiorentina scouts have been closely monitoring the player’s progress over the last year and they are convinced he can make the grade at Artemio Franchi.

Persuading the Russian giants to cash in on their prized asset could prove to be a difficult task, although the fact the 26-year-old is no longer considered a first team regular is likely to help.

Izvestia claims that Fiorentina are readying a €12 million bid for the highly rated footballer.

Roman Eremenko, who already has some Serie A experience having played for Siena and Udinese, has excelled in the deep-lying playmaker role in Kazan, scoring 10 goals in 59 league matches.

Momo Sissoko nears Anderlecht switch

Malian midfielder Mohamed Sissoko is set to undergo a trial with Anderlecht, the Belgian club have revealed on their official website.

The 28-year-old has been a free agent since his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expired in June, but there have been surprisingly little interest in his services.

Sissoko has spent some time training with Monaco, but the Principality club opted against signing the experienced midfielder.

It appears that Anderlecht are prepared to take a gamble with the Mali international, although they first want to make a check on the player’s fitness levels.

Momo Sissoko, who had previously played for Auxerre, Valencia, Liverpool and Juventus, saw his career start taking a turn for the worse when he left Turin for Paris Saint-Germain.

He barely featured for the Saints last season, while making five Serie A appearances on loan at Fiorentina.
