French newspaper Le Parisien understands that Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a fresh assault on Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
The Saints produced quite a coup by recruiting Edinson Cavani, Marquinhos and Lucas Digne this past week and they are close to completing the squad for the new season.
However, new boss Laurent Blanc now turns his attention to midfield department, hoping to sign Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle.
The France international has always been at the top of the Saints’ wish list, and club officials are finally able to fully focus on the highly rated midfielder.
Cabaye is believed to be disappointed by Newcastle’s downtrend in fortunes and he has admitted that a big club move could be on the cards.
The Magpies are obviously desperate to keep hold of their star player, but it is perfectly clear they wouldn’t be able to resist a big money offer for the player who has scored 10 goals in 60 Premier League matches.
