PSG keen on Janmaat, van Rhijn; Roma eyeing Kondogbia

hot-transfer-newsPSG keen on Janmaat, van Rhijn

Paris Saint-Germain are keeping close tabs on Daryl Janmaat and Ricardo van Rhijn, among other players, according to L’Equipe.

After both Gregory van der Wiel and Serge Aurier failed to impress at Parc des Princes, the Saints are in the market for a right-sided defender.

And while Dani Alves and Danilo Luiz da Silva appear to be unrealistic targets at the moment, PSG are also hot on the trail of Daryl Janmaat, Ricardo van Rhijn and Maxi Pereira.

The Dutch full-back has largely impressed since joining Newcastle in the summer, but he might consider leaving the Magpies due to some disappointing results this term.

Ajax full-back Ricardo van Rhijn inherited the right-back position at Amsterdam ArenA from Gregory van der Wiel and he is widely tipped to join a top European side in the near future.

Meanwhile, Benfica’s Maxi Pereira will be out of contract at the end of the season and he has so far been linked with Roma, Liverpool and Besiktas.

Roma eyeing Kondogbia

Italian giants AS Roma are showing interest in Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, Il Messaggero can reveal.

The Giallorossi have ambitious plans ahead of the summer transfer window as they plan to seriously reinforce all areas of the team.

And with key midfielders Daniele De Rossi and Miralem Pjanic linked with moves away from Stadio Olimpico, Roma are in the market for midfield reinforcements.

According to Il Messaggero, Monaco’s Geoffrey Kondogbia is one of the first names on their hit-list, with the 22-year-old finding his feet after a slow start to his career at Stade Louis II.

Meanwhile, Roma are keeping close tabs on Bruno Peres and Ricardo Rodriguez as they are short of quality in full-back positions.

The Giallorossi have now failed to win any of their last five league fixtures and they are available at 3/4 to see off Cesena on the road.

Benfica want €15m for Cancelo

Spanish daily newspaper Superdeporte has learned that Benfica value talented defender Joao Cancelo at €15 million.

The highly rated full-back joined Valencia on a season-long loan last summer and he has already showed some promise at Mestalla.

As a result, los Che have expressed their interest in turning his loan deal into permanent move, but they have now hit the first major obstacle.

Namely, Benfica have informed the La Liga side that they want €15 million for the 20-year-old full-back, and it would appear Valencia have no plans to match the asking price.

Unless the Eagles lower their demands, los Che will explore other avenues as they plan to recruit a quality right-back to challenge Antonio Barragan for a starting berth.

Joao Cancelo has made a total of six La Liga appearances since arriving in the summer, while starting another three Copa del Rey matches.
