Le 10 Sport understands that Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are considering a summer bid for Nice midfielder Nampalys Mendy.
It is no secret that the Saints are in the market for a holding midfielder or two, with Lassana Diarra and N’Golo Kante their primary targets.
However, in case they fail to wrap up the deal for the two France internationals, they will turn their attention to Nampalys Mendy.
PSG officials have been impressed with the youngster’s performances this season and they have already informed his representatives of their interest.
The Saints will not be making concrete moves until they learn the outcome of their approaches for Diarra and Kante, but it is clear that they are keen on the 23-year-old footballer.
Mendy surprised everyone when he left Monaco on a free transfer to join Nice three years ago, but chances are he hasn’t regretted the decision.
