PSG lead James Rodriguez race

According to reports coming from France Football, Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain has emerged as the biggest favourites to land Real Madrid wantaway star James Rodriguez.

The Colombia captain fell down the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane and looks quite certain to leave Santiago Bernabeu this summer with many a Europe’s top club looking to sign him on.

Having lost the Ligue 1 title to AS Monaco last year, Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly making bold plans for the upcoming transfer window with the Colombian star being made one of the club’s top priorities.

Tracked by the likes of Manchester United and Inter Milan among other clubs, James Rodriguez is believed to be seriously considering Paris where he would be given freedom to thrive at the heart of the 4-4-2 diamond formation under Unai Emery.

The financial aspects of the possible transfer are playing a big role as well.

James Rodriguez joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2014 for £61 million and the Champions League winners Real Madrid are thought to be looking to recoup their investment.
