PSG plot ambitious move for Varane

Paris Saint-Germain are being linked with a summer move for Real Madrid starlet Raphael Varane, according to France Football.

The same source has suggested that the Saints will have around €150 million to spend ahead of the 2014/2015 season, and they plan to spend a big part of the transfer kitty on just three players.

And while PSG are believed to be pondering moves for Paul Pogba and Eden Hazard, they are also thought to be keen on Raphael Varane.

The French defender has largely impressed at Santiago Bernabeu having joined from Lens, although he has missed a big portion of the current season through injury.

Nevertheless, the 20-year-old is widely regarded as one of world’s most talented defenders and the Saints are keen to lure him to Parc des Princes.

The problem is that Real Madrid are not too interested in selling one of their star players, although it remains to be seen if they will be able to resist a big money offer.
