PSG step up chase for Ben Arfa

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are stepping up their efforts to recruit Hatem Ben Arfa from Nice, according to L’Equipe.

The Saints are disappointed to have been eliminated in the Champions League quarter-finals for the fourth year running and they are in the market for attacking reinforcements.

PSG officials have been following Hatem Ben Arfa’s performances throughout the season and they seem ready to make their interest concrete.

The 29-year-old has been in scintillating form ever since he returned to Ligue 1, and he scored the only goal in the recent 4-1 loss to the Saints.

With his contract due to expire at the end of the current season, Paris Saint-Germain believe they can lure the winger to Parc des Princes.

Hatem Ben Arfa is enjoying by far the most successful season in his career, having netted 16 times in 30 Ligue 1 outings.
