PSG striker confirms China move

Paris Saint-Germain striker Guillaume Hoarau has confirmed he will be joining Dalian Aerbin in the January transfer window.

The talented forward has been linked with a move to China over the last few weeks and he has now moved to confirm the transfer talk.

Hoarau announced the news using his Instagram account, becoming one of the first footballers to confirm a transfer this way.

“That’s it, it’s time! How hard it is to leave! It stings the eyes,” the Frenchman wrote. “Yes, I know, why this choice? And why not?”

While many will be surprised by the player’s decision to accept the offer from China, it appears that Hoarau just could not reject a contract that will see his yearly wage doubled to €4 million per season.

Having had less than six months left on his deal at Parc des Princes, the forward will be leaving the club for a nominal fee.

Guillaume Hoarau has scored a total of 38 goals in 114 Ligue 1 appearances for the Saints, but he decided to leave the club after starting just eight league games over the last two seasons.
