The future of most Chelsea stars is hugely uncertain and it is no different for Claude Makelele. The holding midfielder has attracted the interest to Paris Saint-Germain, according to News of the World, but Chelsea also want him to stay at the club.
According to the reports, Chelsea are unwilling to offer Makelele, who is 35 years old, a long term deal. The player’s contract runs out next summer and Makelele is not happy with the length of the contract Chelsea have offered.
Paris Saint-Germain, on the other hand are willing to offer Makelele the two year deal he craves, according to the report and manager Paul Le Guen has also been quite vocal about his interest in the player.
“I have spoken again to the player to tell him that, like last year, we have the intention to make him come to Paris.†Said he, as reported by News of the World.
