PSV Eindhoven have won their first trophy of the season, beating Feyenoord Rotterdam for the Super Cup on Saturday.

The first half of the match, played at the Amsterdam Arena, went by without goals.

Ten minutes into the break however, it was Hungarian striker Danko Lazovic to open the score for champions PSV. Dirk Marcellis, who returned from the Olympics only days before, doubled the lead eleven minutes later.

The Super Cup is PSV’s eighth, and their first since 2003. The Eindhoven outfit lost the three most recent editions to Ajax.
