Manchester United have been very active in the market despite the summer transfer window still being close this season, and one of their latest targets could well be talented PSV forward Memphis Depay. The young Dutch international has enjoyed an outstanding season, leading his side to the Dutch Eredivisie title, scoring 21 goals in 28 games.

A deal is said to be in the offing, with United manager Louis van Gaal a big fan of the youngster’s talents, while having managed him during his time with the Netherlands national team. Manchester United have been struggling for goals over the course of the campaign, with the likes of on-loan striker Radamel Falcao having endured a poor debut season in the Premier League.

Depay could well solve their problems, as he’s been on fire in his home nation for the last two seasons, and Betfair are giving odds of 1/2 for the talented striker to make the move to Old Trafford this summer. Should he sign for United, he should be playing Champions League football, and challenging for the Premier League title, so there’s plenty reason why he would be interested.
