Pulis praises debutants

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has heaped praise on his new signings, two of which got the goals as the Eagles beat West Bromwich Albion yesterday to move further towards Premier League safety, Sky Sports understands.

Tom Ince and Joe Ledley both scored on their debuts to help secure a third win in four league games for Palace, who having looked to be certain to make an immediate return to the Championship, now sit in fourteenth place, three points above the bottom three.

Scott Dann, who like Ince and Ledley, secured a move to Selhurst Park on transfer deadline day, also impressed with a commanding performance in the heart of the South East London side’s defence alongside Kagisho Dikgacoi.

Crystal Palace will now turn their attention to Wednesday evening’s trip to Goodison Park, where they will face an Everton side who have lost just once at home in the past thirteen months.
