Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella praised his side’s effort in stretching their unbeaten run to 49 Serie A games on Wednesday.
Juventus edged Bologna 2-1 in Turin to maintain their position on top of the table with nine wins and a draw from 10 matches this season.
The Italy international put his side ahead just before the hour mark, but Bologna midfielder Saphir Taider restored parity in the second half.
However, summer signing Paul Pogba grabbed a late winner for Juve, leaving Quagliarella delighted with his team-mates’ determination to not give up until the final whistle.
“I’m happy with the goal, but also for the result,” the 29-year-old said.
“If an attacker scores and the team wins it is the greatest (feeling for a player).
“Tonight we showed that we never give up and (always) believe, even up until the 95th (minute).”
Juventus take on second-placed Inter Milan in their next Serie A clash on Saturday.
